 DARIEN LAKE TRIP

We are having a Young Marine day at Darien Lake on 7/29 – rain or shine (let’s hope its shine). We have reserved a pavilion for the day and lunch will be provided. The unit is provided each Young Marine 2 tickets, as each Young Marine will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult. You can also make arrangements amongst yourselves to have another Young Marine’s parent/adult guest be responsible for your child. There is just not enough staff to be able to accompany and watch all the kids all day at an amusement park. PLEASE RSVP BY 7/19. You can email, text or call Mrs Beller via the resources provided in the mailer. She will then get the tickets and further information to you at that time. Additional tickets can be reserved at a price of $33.99 each – just let me know if you want to purchase any when you RSVP.

We will meet up at the main Gate at 1000 and go from there

Below is a link to the guide listing the requirements and knowledge to be mastered for each rank.  The requirements are on pages 12 - 15.  As you can tell it takes more than passing the test to get promoted.Young Marine qualifications that must be also met along with having to stand an oral promotion board in front of a panel lead by the XO and Young Marine peers. Remember.......don't wait for the class to be given to learn this knowledge. Promotions are in your hands, not ours.
Please note that while it is the responsibility of the staff to make entries to the Young Marine's Record Book, it is also the responsibility of the Young Marine to review and make sure all things are correct in the online record.
